What I've Shot

Hora people! Here's another update. Since I'm currently doing photography, most of the assignments are about shooting photos. So, I'm going to post up a few photos I took around my house.

While shooting around for my assignment photos, I found a few cats and noticed that they are always hanging around the back alley of my house.

The next photo was originally for my assignment too, but the expression a little too siao, so I dare not use.

I think you can tell what this is.

Found a spider on my floor mat. I love shooting insects, but it's so difficult without Macro lens.

This shot was taken by my sister, she tried to bounce the flash from my right, as in the photo, but the flash power was set too high, and this is the end result of the photo. Maybe I can use this as my header. Hmmm...

What do you think?

Coming back to life, with food!

Hey yo! I'm back for more blogging! I've left my blog with no updates for almost a month now. I got people complaining about it. Anyway, since I'm back now, I will update again like old times, and I errr, think I need a new header. Yes it's been long over Christmas but it's still there because I like it. So, any ideas about what I can use for my new header?

I'm going to fill this post with food photos. I'm going to start with a restaurant at The Curve. However, I can't seem to recall the name of the restaurant. How typical of me. You don't need me telling you this too, but, I don't remember any of the dishes' names either.

I didn't eat all that, I had the one in the second photo. The food there was not bad, and the price was OK, I think.

And now, photos of Malacca food. It's nothing much, but my point is that they were tasty. I would love to travel to Malacca again for more food hunt, but unfortunately I have limited resources, the sadness.

Sungai Melaka?

DSC06611
This, I know! Air Batu Campur with Gula Melaka. In English, Mixed Ice with Malacca Sugar? Malacca Sugar doesn't sound right to me.

DSC06615
And then there is this famous Baba & Nyonya style Curry Laksa. It's rather different from the ones I normally eat. They added Tuna fish in it, and I like theirs a lot better.

DSC06744
The last one I had at Malacca, Curry Chicken Wantan Noodle. This was the best Curry Chicken Wantan Noodle I've eaten so far. Do you know a good one in KL or Selangor? Do let me know, and I will hunt it down.

Well, I think from now on I'm gonna start hunting down all the good food. Any suggestions, anyone?

Now then, what is next?

Burning Skies, End of Day

Back from a long break from blogging. I've been busy with a lot of things, especially since my college life is starting all over. Apologies to those who visited my blog.

Went to Bagan Lalang with a bunch of friends to celebrate the birthday of a friend. Shot photos of the sun going down, so slowly, until it was totally swallowed by the sea. Here are the photos.

My first sunset photo-shoot. It's not the best, but I felt really good and satisfied, although there are obvious grains in my photos, because I forgot to change the ISO setting for a few photos.

That's all for this post.

Morning's Glow, Kanching

I've not update my blog for a ridiculously long period of time. I'm dedicating a lot of my time to my college life and stuff. Assignments, projects, photo-shootings, presentations, you know the drill. The most unbelievable thing is that I have to do colour studies. Like you know, the artist's colour wheel thing, mixing of colours, it's exactly like what I did in secondary school. Only this time, more challenging.

This post is on Kanching Waterfalls. I joined a group of bloggers and we went there together. It was a rather tiring drive. The journey is not that far, but traffic was slow moving and the car in front of mine, the one leading, was driving slowly, so it took us quite a while to get there.

DSC05190

There are seven main waterfalls if I'm not mistaken. This one above is the second waterfall, I think. Didn't take a lot of waterfall shots, simply because, well, they look all similar to me.

Next up, as usual, the life I managed to capture at Kanching.

DSC05204
Monkey model.

There were many monkeys around the place. I took many photos of monkeys jumping and climbing on the trees. But I'm not going to post up too many of the same photos, so I'll just put up a few of my favourites.

Posing for me to take photo? XD

The next one is rather scary. Some won't like it, some won't be able to stand it, some would think it's gross, but I'm going to post it up because it's rather unique to me.

The March of Million-Ants

Most of the people who saw this got pretty freaked out. Must be due to the many legs and weird shape. I think the world of insects is interesting. It's so alien-ish. I hope I get Macro lens! It's gonna be so nice shooting insects with macro lens. Sigh~

Final shot at the longest waterfall.

Don't mind the people in the photo, they were having fun, and I couldn't wait for them to leave for the shot.

That's all I have on Kanching. The outing was rather short. We finished and left after this part of the waterfall to take our lunch and then returned home. And errr... The lunch wasn't good. Therefore, no food photos. And finally, the ending of this post with my photo.

Next up in line, Gua Tempurung trip, with my photos.

Still Shouting at Genting

College started, and I'm going to college to study, and like any other students, I'm busy with assignments. Of course, first week is still fine. But I don't have enough time for everything, so updates were being delayed.

DSC04652

Continuing, this round, more photos on Shouters at Genting Highland.

I still suck in portraiture. Maybe I should find a model and experiment with thousands of shots before I actually learn something. Also, I need an external flash unit.

Firewire suddenly became quiet. I suppose he was thinking about something, or rather, someone?

Nice expression on Firewire's face. I tried imitating, but failed.

Somehow, Firewire became the spotlight in this post.

Can you spot the Shouters?

Next up, Genting or Kanching? Hmmm...
