Here is a little something I've been delaying, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) is a nice building, especially at night with lights. But I was rushing to the highlight of the night, so I didn't shoot the building.



Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) finale. I enjoyed the fireworks a lot. Here are 2 firework photos I shot.




It was my first time shooting fireworks, and the smoke gets in the way all the time. Nevertheless, a fun experience! More photo-shoot!

10082008 Day Out

The post title is actually a date. It was a Sunday, had something planned but somehow something went wrong and we had to go somewhere else.
Original plan was, meet up with Shouters at Berjaya Times Square for makan session, then join the Kbox people for karaoke session, then Jogoya for dinner.
What really happened, waited for the Shouters for a long while, and took photos of a fashion show while waiting. Decided to have lunch at Gasoline after walking around aimlessly for a short while. And then joined in the karaoke session one hour later than planned time. Jogoya was canceled due to a sad reason. Left the gang to join another gang for Korean food instead.

Gasoline's food were OK, very thick sauce with heavy flavouring, I think. Their drinks were good though.

And then the Kbox people at Redbox. My first, real group shot with them.

Since the much anticipated Jogoya dinner was canceled, I left earlier with Daniel to meet up with Jane and David for Korean food instead. Don't know exactly where the place is situated, but it was around Ampang. The whole place was full of Korean shops and restaurants, and well, Koreans.

My first time really eating Korean food, learned a few things about Koreans and how to eat Korean food, Korean style. The side dishes were all free of charge, we only had to pay for our beers, the meat and beef soup thingy? Yeah. It was quite fun. Food was good, and thanks to the beer we got pretty full in little time.

When are we going again?
And I still want that Jogoya dinner. Anybody?

I'm an Alphanatic

Parents are coming back home on the 18th of August 2008. There goes my "home alone". Good thing is, I don't have to handle all the chores on my own. College life is changing, somehow. I'm beginning to get a clearer picture about something important. Also, learning how to be more creative in terms of photography, and I still suck in portraiture. -__-

There was a Sony Alpha Photography Seminar on the 9th of August 2008, in Le Meridian Hotel, KL. It was my first time attending a seminar of that level. Five-star hotel can? And yet it's free for Alpha users to attend. More than a hundred people turned up. The talk was interesting, now I know more about flash photography and got some ideas on shooting still life.

The lunch they provided was Arabian buffet. I never thought Arabian food was so good. Now I have something new to crave for. I heard there's one in Sunway Pyramid, anyone want to go eat Arabian food with me?

There was nothing much to shoot during the seminar, I think. Everyone was shooting each other, loads of group photos. Since I hardly blog with human photos, I didn't took many. From here on out, photos, photos and photos.

Arabian buffet restaurant in Le Meridian, KL. Good food with a very nice atmosphere. I'm going to check out more Arabian restaurants and see if they get any better.

Flowers on a table in the hotel. Wireless flash fired from the side and this is what I got. You can see pixels on the red flower. It only appeared after I re-size the photo. I think it's because of the colour, the re-sizer couldn't work it out.


This is where we had our tea, a little evening refreshment. Thanks to that, most of the participants were full and felt sleepy during the second-half of the talk. Nevertheless, great stuff from Darren Chang. You have to check out his blog, I think it's amazing.

The best thing that happened? They gave every participant an Alpha Survival Kit for free. So really, everything was for free, in a five-star hotel. I'm looking forward to the next Alpha camera, I hope they announce something soon.

Photo-Party

My sister has left home for training in Hilton Hotel, KL. And with both my parents working overseas, I'm home alone all the time. Having the whole house to myself is kind of nice. Anyone want to come over to party? ................... Just kidding.

Two weeks ago I blogged about photos. Well this time, I'm going to blog about photos too. Hohoho~ Yes I'm still blogging about Redang. A lot of delaying, I know, and I don't want my posts to be too long, so I have to break it up into many posts. And I said there are going to be more words in this post. Well, I'll try.


So, Redang has this very blue sky with nice clouds. I used to spend hours shooting photos of the sky, but I'm not that noob anymore. lol~


The most famous spot on Redang Island, I think. Forgot what is it called, Laguna or Long Beach. Hmmm...

And then when we had nothing to do during the night, we tried our hands on anything we can find, including...


Scrabble. It was fun to watch them play. lol~


A very big Gecko, was like half foot long. Came out from the dark to feast on the insects. It was raining, therefore, many insects gathered around the lights.

Photo Sharing, Again?

I'm having my semester break now, but even during semester break I have tonnes of work to do. Of course, I have to work on my photo shooting styles too. Learning a lot, thanks to all the photo-shoot trips.

Photo Sharing - Redang

My blog is still alive! Yes it is. And here is an update! Continuing the previous post - Into The Blue.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to make this post more wordy, and yes I've been receiving complaints, saying I should put in more words in my posts. Well, not in this post anyway. This is an all-photos' post, photos taken on the island.

Into The Blue

Haven't been blogging for exactly two weeks now. This time I have return, with more photos! I'm gonna skip the Bagan Lalang's photos for now, to show you a little something on my latest trip - Redang Island.

Once again, a Shouters' trip! Who went?
KL's side: Daniel, David, Lisa, Satkuru, William, and Woolala.
Penang's side: Angeline, Elise, HugoLim, Lasker, LeeMay, and Wendy.

A photo I shot while I was inside the train, well yeah I took the train to KL Central to meet up with the rest of the KL gang, and then from KL to Kuala Terengganu by bus.

It was rather fun traveling by bus. Talked and laughed, shot a few photos, and slept all the way until we arrived at our destination.

And then we joined together with the other six from Penang, who were waiting for us because they arrived earlier. We went around to look for a little snack since everyone was hungry.

And when the transports arrived, we left the station and headed to the jetty. And in about 30 minutes time, we arrived and waited for a while before the boat was readied. And then...


We were on the boat! Off towards the island! And that point, it was really exciting. Thinking about it makes me miss the place. More photos!

Bagan Lalang, Fishy Food

Continuing this post: Bagan Lalang, Sepang Outing. Also about the food we had there, none of us liked it. Here are the photos.

It was made to look like a tiny mountain, normally people would think it's more ice than the drink, but this one was totally not like that. It was superbly-crazily-overly sweet. And there were other drinks too, but they all look the same so I'm not gonna post them up one by one. And yes they were all very sweet too.

And then we tried something common, which can be found in most restaurants at beach areas - Ikan Bakar. When the order came, it looked like this.


Not too bad looking, couldn't smell the food though. So like usual, we dig ourselves in.


And KABOOM! It tasted like some rotten crap, stinky fish, dead meat, gosh it was yucky! And that's it, I'm never going back to that particular restaurant. Maybe we'll check out the Sepang Gold Coast area instead, if there's a next time.
